Why you’ll love it

The Contax RX gives you access to one of the best manual-focus lens systems ever made. If you’re buying into Contax, you’re usually buying into the glass: Zeiss Planars, Distagons, Sonnars, rich colour, beautiful contrast, and that very specific Contax-era rendering people get a bit dramatic about. Fair enough. The glass is gorgeous.

The RX is a brilliant body to pair with those lenses because it gives you a more modern, confident shooting experience than many older manual-focus cameras. The Digital Focus Indicator is the party trick here, helping confirm focus while still letting you use proper manual-focus lenses.
